Potato Halushkie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small onion
    1 egg
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. milk
    1 3/4 c. flour
    5 lb. potatoes
Preparation
    Peel and grate potatoes and onion.
    Add milk and other ingredients and mix well
    so that mixture makes a dough.
    Cut off pieces of dough with a spoon and place into boiling water which has been slightly salted.
    Cook for 8 to 10 minutes until the dough rises to the top of the pot.
    Strain and pour cold water over the halushkie.
    Saute onion which has been diced and pour over halushkie.
