Caramel Icing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
2 sticks butter
4 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Combine 3 cups sugar with milk in heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat until dissolved. Add butter, stirring to keep from scorching. Cook the 4 tablespoons sugar in saucepan until melted and browned. Add to sugar, milk and butter until blended. Cook for about 6 minutes. Remove from heat and beat with mixer at high speed until it reaches spreading consistency. Spread between layers and on top and sides of 3 layer cake.
