Grits Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. water
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. quick cooking grits
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 c. grated processed cheese, divided
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    1 small can green chilies
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a large saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
    Add garlic powder, salt and pepper.
    Bring mixture to a boil.
    Gradually stir in grits.
    Lower heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.
    Remove pan from heat; stir in butter and chilies.
    Add 1 cup of cheese until melted.
    Mix eggs with milk.
    Stir into grits.
    Pour grits into a greased 2-quart casserole.
    Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
    Bake for 1 hour. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
