Better Than Homemade Tortellini Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole chicken
1/2 lb. carrots, peeled and chopped
1/2 lb. celery, peeled and chopped
1/2 lb. onions, peeled and chopped
    1 lb. diced potato
1 bag store-bought tortellini (frozen usually works best)
    4 qt. water
    1 small can tomato paste
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. oregano
    finely chopped flat parsley
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Take the chicken and cut it along both sides of the spine. Keep the spine and place on a sheet pan. Next, cut the chicken in the center of the breasts, cracking the two apart. (Careful not to cut yourself in the process.) Carefully remove the breast meat from the bone. Now you should have two halves of chicken. Next, cut each half in half at the base of the rib cage above the thigh. Look for the joint and try to cut in between bones. Now you have four quarters. Carefully stand the leg up and cut along the bone, removing the meat.
