Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. shredded cabbage
    4 frankfurters (in chunks)
    1/2 c. crackers or bread crumbs
    3 red apples (cored and sliced)
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. vinegar
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Cook cabbage about 7 minutes in boiling water. Drain. Alternate sliced apples and cooked cabbage in greased casserole. Add franks. Make sauce: Melt butter and stir in cornstarch. Then stir in sugar, water, vinegar and salt. Pour over cabbage mixture. Bake for 1 hour.
