Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. minced garlic
    1 small chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
    2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans ready-to-serve chicken broth
    1 (6 1/2 oz.) can clams, undrained
    2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans cream of potato soup, undiluted
    1 to 2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. half and half
Preparation
    Saute garlic and onion in butter until tender.
    Add broth and next 3 ingredients, stirring well.
    Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
    Add half and half, stirring well.
    Cook over medium heat until thoroughly heated.
    Yield:
    About 1 1/2 quarts.
