Chili-Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Betty Crocker scalloped potatoes
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. chopped green peppers
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    2 to 2 1/2 tsp. chili powder
    2 1/2 c. water
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) can kidney beans (undrained)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Empty potatoes into ungreased 2-quart casserole.
    Cook and stir ground beef, green peppers, onion and salt in 10-inch skillet until beef is brown; drain.
    Stir in sauce mix, chili powder, water and beans.
    Add to potatoes.
    Cook for about 40 minutes (until potatoes are tender).
    Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.
    Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
