Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 lb. frying chicken
3 Tbsp. shortening
dash of pepper
1/2 c. sliced onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 c. ketchup
1 c. water
2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. red wine
Preparation

Brown chicken in shortening.
Sprinkle with pepper.
Remove chicken from skillet.
Saute onion and garlic in skillet until lightly browned.
Stir in ketchup and remaining ingredients.
Add chicken and simmer, uncovered, for 30 to 40 minutes or until chicken is tender and sauce is desired consistency.
