Nut Crescents - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. unsalted butter
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 egg yolk (reserve white)
    2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Have butter and cream cheese at room temperature.
    Cream butter, cream cheese and egg yolk together.
    Add 2 1/2 cups flour. Mix together thoroughly.
    Shape into 4 logs and refrigerate several hours.
