English Plum Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. chopped suet
    1/2 lb. citron
    1 lb. currants
    1 lb. raisins
    1 lb. nuts (if desired)
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    2 c. sugar
    2 large apples, cut up
    2 loaves stale bread, crumbled fine
Preparation
    Add milk to bread to moisten.
    Mix all together.
    Put in large pan and steam for 3 hours.
    Any kind of your favorite sauce may be used over this.
    Lemon sauce is good.
