Creamy Apple Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/4 c. brown sugar
4 apples, thinly sliced
1 large egg
1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sour cream

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Combine first two ingredients; mix until crumbly.
Reserve 2/3 cup of the mixture for the topping.
Add brown sugar and cinnamon to the reserved topping mix.
Mix the reserved topping well and set aside.
Press the remaining mixture into an ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan.
Arrange the apple slices over the base.
