Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. bacon
    1 green pepper
    1 c. water
    2 c. milk
    1 onion
    1 c. potatoes, cubed
    1 1/2 c. corn, cut from 3 ears
    3 Tbsp. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    In a kettle, fry bacon, reserving enough fat to saut onion, pepper and potatoes. When onion is translucent, add water and bring to a boil. Add corn, milk, butter and seasonings. Lower heat and simmer until corn is tender, about 10 minutes. Serve hot. Serves 4 to 6.
