Southwestern Bean Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 slices bacon
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    2 cans pork and beans (1 lb. each)
    1/2 c. French's barbecue sauce
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 small green pepper
Preparation
    Cook bacon until crisp, saving 2 tablespoons drippings. Remove and crumble bacon.
    Cook onion and pepper in 2 tablespoons drippings until soft.
    Stir in beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar and crumbled bacon.
    Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole. Top with 2 slices uncooked bacon (optional).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
