Buffet Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. boneless chicken, cut into 1 inch strips
    1 1/2 c. mushroom pieces
    1/2 c. green peppers, sliced
    1/2 c. onions, sliced
    1/2 c. butter
    2 c. beef stock
    1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. sour cream
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Saute beef in butter until brown; add mushrooms, peppers and onions.
    Saute.
    Add beef stock (if beef stock is made from cubes, reduce salt to 1/2 teaspoon).
    Simmer 15 minutes; mix flour with sour cream.
    Add to beef mixture, stirring well to thicken. Simmer an additional 15 minutes.
    Serve over hot buttered noodles.
