W M Pecan Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
1/4 c. water
pinch of salt
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. pecans
Preparation

In a large saucepan, mix together sugar, corn syrup, water and salt.
Cook slowly until candy reaches soft crack stage on candy thermometer.
Add pecans and continue cooking to hard crack stage. Remove from heat.
Add soda and stir thoroughly.
Pour quickly into a buttered pan or platter.
Let cool before serving.
