Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 sweet potatoes
    salt to taste
    1 1/2 sticks butter
    1/2 to 3/4 small bottle Log Cabin syrup
Preparation
    Peel, cut up and boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with electric mixer, adding 1 stick butter.
    Put into a buttered casserole.
    Pour syrup on top and cut into potatoes with knife.
    Top with 1/2 stick of butter, cut into pats. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until potatoes start to brown around the sides.
