Fruit Salad With Cooked Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 level Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. pineapple juice
    juice of 1 orange
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 c. sliced bananas
    1 c. coarsely chopped apples
    1 c. drained pineapple tidbits
    1 c. sliced fresh strawberries or cherries
Preparation
    Combine sugar and flour in saucepan.
    Combine beaten egg and fruit juices; gradually blend with flour-sugar mixture.
    Cook over low heat until mixture thickens, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat; add butter and cool. Fold in bananas, apples and pineapple.
    Put into a dish; garnish with strawberries or cherries.
    Cover and chill.
    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
