Raisin Nut Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. raisins
1 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. butter
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 eggs
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Preparation

Bring raisins and water to a boil.
Do not drain.
Mix the dry ingredients together.
Cream the butter.
Add sugar and eggs.
Add raisin mixture and vanilla.
Add flour and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
