Gerry'S Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    2 c. cornmeal
    2 level tsp. baking powder
    2 rounded tsp. salt
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 to 1 1/2 c. milk
    2 eggs
    1 level tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar into a large mixing bowl and stir, mixing thoroughly with fork.
    Add cornmeal.
    Stir again.
    Add milk and eggs, stir with fork until well blended.
    Grease baking dish.
    Pour in mixture and bake at 400\u00b0 until well brown on top, approximately 30 to 35 minutes. Should be firm on top if pressed with fork when done.
    Do not use electric mixer.
