Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 green pepper, sliced
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 c. sliced onions
    6 to 8 c. sliced pickles
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
    ice cubes and water to cover
Preparation
    Put sliced pickles, pepper and onions into large bowl.
    Cover with ice water; let stand for about 1 hour.
    Drain.
    Put into large container that will fit into your refrigerator.
    Cover pickles, pepper and onions with the vinegar, sugar and spices. Mixture will stay for about 6 months in refrigerator.
