Soup Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Northern beans, washed with cold water to clean
    water
    ham chunks (1 to 2 inches thick)
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Put beans in large pan, cover with water 2 to 4 inches above beans.
    Add several ham chunks, salt and pepper.
    Cook until tender on medium high for 1 to 2 hours.
    Serve with cornbread and fried potatoes.
