Prize Winning Buttermilk-Coconut Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
    1-3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    1 c. coconut
    1 c. buttermilk
    1-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. butter, softened
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except butter.
    Mix well to dissolve sugar.
    Melt butter and pour into egg mixture while hot.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Bake 400 degrees until crust is lightly brown.
    Reduce heat to 300 degrees and bake until set.
    Total baking time is about 1 hour.
