Orville'S Sister Mabel'S Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 lb. butter
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    6 qt. popped corn
Preparation
    In 2-quart saucepan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, cream of tartar and salt.
    Bring to a boil, stirring over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until reaches 260\u00b0 (about 5 minutes).
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in baking soda quickly, but thoroughly.
