Vidalia Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    7 to 8 medium onions, chunked, 4 or 5 large
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    2 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. grated cheese
    2/3 c. Pet milk
    salt
Preparation
    Saute onions in butter.
    Cook rice in water about 5 minutes and drain.
    Add rice to onions, cheese and milk.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour in 2-quart baking dish.
    Stir once or twice during baking. Top with cheese about 20 minutes before done.
