Grandma'S Taters - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 or 5 large Irish potatoes
salt to taste
1/2 stick oleo
1 c. (8 oz.) meal
sweet milk (enough to make a paste)
black pepper to taste
Preparation

Peel potatoes. Wash. Cut each one into cubes. Put into large boiler. Cover with water and boil until nearly tender. When potatoes are nearly tender, put oleo, salt and pepper. Put corn meal into 8 ounce cup. Put enough sweet milk into cup with meal to make a thin paste. Mix together real good. Pour all of this slowly into potatoes. Finish cooking on low heat, stirring often. May need to add more water, if too thick.
