Hot Lettuce Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    bacon, cut up and fried crisp
    2 eggs, beaten
    4 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar (more or less to your taste)
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Cut bacon into small pieces and fry crisp.
    Beat eggs.
    Add vinegar, sugar and water.
    Mix well and pour into bacon pieces. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
    Boil a minute or two.
    Do not let curdle.
    Remove from heat, pour over lettuce, dandelion or steamed shredded cabbage.
    Add a little salt and stir.
