Wilted Lettuce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. loosely packed leaf lettuce
    2 strips bacon, cooked
    1/4 c. sliced green onions
    1/2 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    bit of pepper
    2 to 3 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 hard-boiled egg, chopped
Preparation
    Wash and dry lettuce and tear into large salad bowl.
    Cook bacon until crisp, crumble and reserve.
    To bacon fat in skillet, stir in 1/4 cup sliced green onions, sugar, salt, pepper, and vinegar.
    Cook about 2 minutes.
    Pour hot dressing over lettuce. Sprinkle with bacon bits and chopped egg and toss to coat evenly. Serves 2 or 3.
