Warm Apple Pudding - cooking recipe

4 large tart apples
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Peel and slice apples in 8 x 8-inch baking dish, buttered well. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over apple slices.
Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl.
Add shortening and milk, beat 2 minutes.
Add egg and vanilla.
Beat 2 more minutes.
Spread over apples.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
