Spoon Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. active dry yeast
    2 c. lukewarm water
    1 egg, beaten
    3/4 c. melted shortening
    1/4 c. sugar
    4 1/4 c. self-rising flour
Preparation
    In a large bowl that can be covered, mix water and yeast until dissolved.
    Add beaten egg and shortening; stir well.
    Add sugar and flour.
    Store in refrigerator, covered, in a large bowl.
    Will keep 1 week.
