Bran Apple Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. whole bran cereal
    1 c. milk
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. finely chopped, peeled tart apples
    1 egg
    1/4 c. butter, melted
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Combine bran and milk; let stand 10 to 15 minutes.
    Stir in flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
    Add apples, butter and egg.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Spoon into well-greased or paper-lined muffin cups, filling 1/2 full.
    Bake 25 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
