Fried Apple Pie - cooking recipe

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. shortening
milk
Preparation

Combine flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon.
Rub in shortening; add enough milk to make stiff pastry dough.
Cook dried apples until tender.
Mash with a potato masher.
Sweeten to taste.
Add 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon (or more, if desired). Roll dough out to medium-thin thickness.
Use a saucer to cut rounds of dough.
Place dried apples on half of dough; moisten edges with water.
Fold over and seal.
Fry in a heavy skillet in a small amount of shortening over very low heat until dough is well done and delicately browned.
