"Hot" German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sausage
    4 strips bacon
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    1/3 c. diced celery
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    4 c. diced cooked potatoes
    2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Fry bacon, then remove from pan when done.
    Saute onions and celery in bacon drippings until limp.
    Add salt, sugar, pepper, dry mustard, water and vinegar.
    Boil for 2 minutes.
    Crumble bacon, then add bacon, potatoes and mayonnaise to seasoned sauce. Heat slowly on top of stove (or heat in a 300\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes).
    Top with sausage and serve.
