Applesauce Crazy Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour (whole wheat or unbleached)
1/3 c. sugar or honey
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 to 1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. oil
1/2 c. water
3/4 c. applesauce
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. raisins
1 apple, chopped (optional in place of raisins and nuts)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Combine dry ingredients in an 8-inch square pan.
Add vanilla, oil, water, honey (if used) and applesauce; mix well with fork.
Stir in raisins and nuts (or chopped apple).
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
Remove from oven, using potholders or oven mitt.
Let cool before you cut it.
