Texas Barbecue Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium size onions, finely chopped
    1 clove garlic, finely chopped
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 c. ketchup
    1/2 c. lemon juice
    1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
    1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
    1 Tbsp. celery seed, crushed with a hammer
    2 tsp. cumin seed, crushed
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 c. cider vinegar
Preparation
    Saute onions and garlic in oil until golden and tender, about 10 minutes.
    Stir in chili powder and cook 1 minute.
    Add all remaining ingredients except butter.
    Bring to a boil.
    Lower heat; simmer uncovered, stirring often, for 30 minutes.
    Stir in butter.
    If any is left over, put in a covered jar.
    Can be stored in the refrigerator for months.
