Ottolene'S Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 or 3 onions, sliced
    3/4 c. water
    5 whole cloves
    5 large potatoes
    salt and pepper to taste
    3 lb. beef pot roast
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    8 carrots, halved
    1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce
Preparation
    Brown meat on all sides in oil in Dutch oven or large round boiler.
    Add tomato sauce, water, onions, other sauce and seasonings.
    Cover; simmer over low heat for 3 to 4 hours.
    Add water if needed.
    Add carrots and potatoes about an hour before serving.
