Blackberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/3 c. sifted flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. blackberries
    3/4 tsp. cloves
    1 c. brown sugar, packed firm
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 unbeaten eggs
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients well together.
    Add blackberries and nuts; stir gradually.
    Bake in layers at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or oblong for 45 minutes.
