Sinful Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 lb.) pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes, slightly thawed
    1/2 c. onions
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    2 c. sour cream
    2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 stick margarine, melted
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. crushed saltines
    1 stick margarine
Preparation
    Saute crackers in 1 stick margarine; set aside.
    Mix slightly thawed potatoes and 1 stick melted butter in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Add all remaining ingredients.
    Top with crackers.
    Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
