Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cup corn meal
1 small onion, diced
1 egg, beaten
3/4 cup milk

Preparation

Sift dry ingredients.
Add onion.
Add egg, milk, then stir lightly.
Drop by spoon into deep fat 360 degrees.
Makes about 2 dozen.
