Dutch Pretzels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 1/2 c. warm water
    4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    coarse salt
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water using a large bowl.
    Add flour and sugar and gradually pour in remaining water.
    Knead dough until smooth and easy to handle.
    Cover with damp cloth and allow to rise for 20 minutes at room temperature.
    Separate into 12 balls.
    Roll each and twist to shape pretzels.
    Place on greased cookie sheet.
    Coat with beaten egg and sprinkle with salt to taste.
