Date Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. self-rising flour
3 Tbsp. + 1 tsp. firmly packed light or dark brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
pinch of salt
1 c. skim buttermilk
1/4 c. margarine, melted
1 large egg
12 fresh dates, pitted and chopped
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Spray a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Sift flour, sugar, ginger and salt into medium bowl; set aside.
