Molasses Spice Crisps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cloves (scant)
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. molasses
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients together.
    Cream the shortening, sugar, egg and molasses.
    Mix in dry ingredients.
    Chill 2 hours or overnight.
    Roll into balls.
    Dip balls in sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    (Tops crack nicely.)
