Ingredients

2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. vinegar
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. finely chopped pecans
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits or 1 c. butterscotch morsels
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Beat egg whites stiff. Gradually add vanilla, vinegar and sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form. Fold in pecans and chocolate or butterscotch morsels. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto foil-covered cookie sheet. Place in the oven and TURN OFF THE HEAT. Leave at least 5 hours or overnight.
