Red Beans And Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. red beans (kidney)
2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
2 bay leaves, crushed
3 stalks celery, chopped
pepper
1 Tbsp. Tabasco sauce
1/2 lb. chopped ham
1 large yellow onion
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/4 c. butter
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Preparation

Soak beans overnight; drain.
In a large kettle, place beans and enough water to cover.
Add to beans, ham, parsley, onion, bay leaves, celery, pepper and garlic.
Simmer for 2 hours with lid removed.
Add the butter, Tabasco sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Cook an additional 2 hours, covered.
Serve hot over a bed of rice (preferably brown rice).
