Spicy Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. quick oats
    2 c. boiling water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    2/3 c. oil
    3 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Add boiling water to oats in small bowl and let stand 5 minutes.
    Blend sugars, oil and eggs.
    Stir in oatmeal.
    Sift dry ingredients together; add to mixture and beat well.
    Stir in nuts. Spread in greased and floured pan, 9 x 13 x 2-inch.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes, or until toothpick test shows done.
    Spread immediately with Broiled Frosting and broil for 3 to 5 minutes until brown.
