Easy Butterscotch Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    2 c. brown sugar (1/2 light, 1/2 dark)
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sifted unbleached flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts (pecans or English walnuts)
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    In a medium saucepan, melt the butter, then add sugar, blending well.
    Set aside to cool.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.
    Blend flour and baking powder together, then add to mix.
    Add vanilla and nuts, making sure to blend thoroughly.
    Spread batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan; bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 30 minutes.
    Check with cake tester to be sure it is completely baked.
    While still warm, cut into squares and dust with confectioners sugar.
