My Favorite German Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 oz.) Baker's German's sweet chocolate
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. margarine
    2 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    4 stiffly beaten egg whites
Preparation
    Melt chocolate in boiling water and cool.
    Cream margarine and sugar until fluffy.
    Add egg yolks one at a time, beating well after each addition (save whites for later).
    Blend in vanilla and cooled chocolate mixture.
    Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
    Add alternately with buttermilk to chocolate mixture, beating well after each addition.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Pour in three 9-inch pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
    Cool.
