12 Hour Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 1/2 c. finely chopped celery
    2 green peppers, cut in rings
    1 c. chopped red onion
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, partially cooked
    1 c. mayonnaise (Hellmann's)
    1 c. sour cream
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 lb. bacon, crumbled (fry first)
Preparation
    Shred lettuce into a 9 x 13-inch dish.
    Layer lettuce, peppers, onion and peas.
    Mix mayonnaise and sour cream; spread on top.
    Sprinkle sugar, cheese and bacon on top.
    Cover and refrigerate about 4 to 8 hours.
    Do not toss until ready to serve.
