Fresh Rhubarb Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/3 c. flour
    dash of salt
    1 (9-inch) pie shell
    2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
    vanilla ice cream (optional)
    4 c. rhubarb
    1 top crust
Preparation
    Cut rhubarb into 1-inch pieces.
    In mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour and salt.
    Stir in rhubarb.
    Toss gently to coat fruit.
    Let set 15 minutes.
    Pour into pie dish lined with pastry. Dot with butter or oleo; slit top crust.
    Place over mixture; flute and trim edges.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Remove foil from around the edge of pie and continue baking for 25 more minutes or until golden brown.
    Serve warm or cool on rack before serving.
    Top each serving with vanilla ice cream if desired.
