German Apple Cake - cooking recipe

2 eggs
1 c. oil
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts
4 c. thinly sliced tart apples (such as Granny Smith apples)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Beat eggs until foamy, then add the oil and mix well.
Add sugar, vanilla, spices, soda and flour, mixing after each addition.
Stir in nuts and apples.
Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Cool and frost with cream cheese frosting.
