Ingredients

1/2 gal. carton vanilla ice cream
Oreo cookies
1 stick melted margarine
chocolate syrup
Cool Whip
Preparation

Crush enough Oreo cookies to cover bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Combine Oreos and melted margarine and press into pan.
Open ice cream carton completely so that ice cream can be sliced.
Slice ice cream and place over cookies.
Pour chocolate syrup over ice cream and freeze about an hour.
Spread Cool Whip over top and garnish with cookie crumbs if desired.
Freeze 2 to 3 hours or overnight before serving to allow cake to freeze firmly.
